Milos Art Residency
Rest. Create.
2026 Milos Art Residency is fully booked!
Welcome to the Milos Art Residency — a creative sanctuary for women.
Milos is a volcanic island with a pulse of its own. Named the World’s Best Island and the Greek Island of the Summer, it’s a landscape that reveals its beauty slowly: turquoise coves, lunar rock formations, villages carved from stone.
This is the island where the Venus de Milo was found — an ancient reminder that art, beauty, and the feminine have always lived here.
Come rest. Come create. Come meet the part of you that emerges only on an island like this.
General Information
-
This is a multi-disciplinary Art Residency for women at any stage of their artistic journey. This includes writers, dancers, painters, song-writers, ceramicists, textile artists, and more.
The Residency is self-directed. This means you can create at your own pace. You have access to a private apartment and a separate 64 square meter Art Studio.
Residents are given access to the Creative Play Container, a series of daily prompts and activities that guide you through the creation cycle with the goal of sparking Play within your own practice during the Residency. Each Resident can engage with this as much or as little as they want.
Artist stays are a minimum of two weeks. If you would like to stay longer, please indicate so in your application.
Additional rooms will open up in 2027 for multiple artist stays.

Want to Build Your
Own Art Residency?
I built Milos Art Residency from scratch — the property search, the renovation, the application system, a sustainable pricing model, and launch. In the first year, 100+ artists applied and the residency reached operational profitability.
On April 15th, 2026 I'm teaching exactly how I did it — and how you can too. 60 minutes, $47, recording included.
Proceeds support Residency scholarships.
Art Residency FAQs
-
You can bring a partner for an additional $500 USD for two weeks. We do not currently accommodate children or pets.
-
Artists are responsible for their own supplies. There is a basic art supply store on the island but it is minimal. The suggestion is to pick up materials at art supplies stores in Athens.
-
Yes, there is one free slot the first two weeks of November. The Artist is required to pay for their own travel expenses and also a $500 security deposit in case there are any damages. This will be returned to the Artist if the Residency is left in the condition it was found.
Milos Art Residency is open and seeking partnerships with foundations supporting female artists to sponsor more grants. Please reach out!
-
No you do not, there are walkable beaches and a grocery store a 10 minute walk from the property. If you do want to easily get around the island, you can rent a car or scooter in Athens and bring it on the ferry to Milos.
-
You can fly to the Milos airport or take the Minoan ferry from Pireaus Greece near Athens (before May, this ferry leaves at 9PM in Piraeus and arrives at 1:30AM at Milos) - after May there are more frequent ferries.
-
Your travel plans to and from the Art Residency are your responsibility and you are liable for any changes. Our suggestion is to buy travel insurance in advance from Faye. Many travel insurance companies also cover health related expenses. Please note there will be no refunds if the Artist experiences travel interruptions.
-
Yes! However you will not receive the complimentary free month that applicants to the Art Residency receive.
